Annual review of fees
Please note our fees are subject to annual review and may be updated on the 1st March each year to reflect the rate of inflation.
VAT (Value Added Tax)
VAT is applied at a rate applicable to the consumer’s origin country when within the UK and the EU. Those consumers outside the UK and EU will incur no VAT. VAT is not applicable to EU VAT registered businesses.
Your Registration Fee, CFI (OfQual AO)
The IOPN Diploma is accredited by CFI (an OfQual regulated awarding organisation) as an EQF Level 7 qualification. We are therefore required to pay the awarding organisation £445 to register you as a student in order for you to receive formal accreditation for your award upon successful completion of the IOPN Diploma program. For further information visit our accreditation page. Please note, your Registration Fee is tax exempt and is a disbursement to the awarding organisation, CFI (OfQual AO) who are a charitable organisation and as such are exempt from VAT.
Your Tuition Fee
Your Tuition Fee is separate to your Registration Fee. You can pay the Tuition Fee in full or set up a bespoke monthly repayment plan, enabling you to put down an optional deposit and then spread the remaining balance over a duration of your choice (maximum length of plan varies per programme). Please note, you will not be able to to graduate until your total Tuition Fee balance is paid off. In the event you complete a programme before your final monthly instalment, you may choose to pay off the remaining balance. A final one-off transaction can be arranged with our enrolment team.
Additional costs (such as textbooks)
To successfully engage with some of the learning activities within our programmes, students are required to invest in the following two course core textbooks:
> Sport Nutrition 3rd Edition by Asker Jeukendrup PhD and Michael Gleeson PhD. ISBN: 9781492529033. Human Kinetics.
> Biochemistry for Sport and Exercise Metabolism by Don Maclaren PhD and James Morton PhD. ISBN 9780470091852. Wiley-Blackwell. 2012
Please note that both books are typically easily obtained in both print and e-book / Kindle format online via the publisher’s websites, Amazon etc.
Payment handling
Your Registration Fee and Tuition Fee payments are handled securely through our payment processing partner, Stripe. The only exception to that is in the event you and our Billing team agreed to process a payment via bank transfer. To learn more about Stripe, please visit stripe.com.

Why students love studying with the IOPN

🇮🇪 Ellen McDermott

DipIOPN, BSc, UKAD

Performance Nutritionist

"Like anyone who graduated from the IOPN would say, it was the most relevant, practical and engaging coursework I've ever been a part of. Fast forward to 5 years of exercise science and performance nutrition studies, topped off with the IOPN Diploma and I have developed a set of skills which has allowed me to work with some top level athletes. In the past few months I embraced the challenge of starting my own business which couldn't be going any better."

🇬🇧 Charles Ashford

DipIOPN, MSc, SENR

Nutritionist at Dallas Mavericks

"I also did a master’s degree a few years later but I actually found the diploma more valuable than I found my master’s degree, because I felt like I already had that level of knowledge from the diploma by the time I went into the master’s. I also didn’t get access to the same world leading experts in their area. There are only a handful of courses in the world that offer that and the IOPN is one of them."

🇮🇪 Fiona O’Donnell

DipIOPN, MSc

Performance Nutritionist

"I graduated from the diploma and can honestly say it was the best learning experience I’ve ever engaged in. I’ve spent the last 18 months since graduation focussing on business and I’m delighted to say - it’s taken off! Great confidence gained from the programme which has allowed me to excel in my space."

🇬🇧 Richard Brennan

DipIOPN, MSc, CSci

BASES Accredited Sport Scientist - Chartered Scientist. Royal Society Medicine - Senior Associate Member

“Having completed a BSc. and MSc. before gaining #BASES accreditation I thought I knew a thing or two about nutrition… and then I took the IOPN Diploma. It’s not easy to put across how incredible it is but mind blowing and inspirational are two words that come to mind.”
